Who is responsible
Controller and contact
The person operating timediff.fyi is responsible for the processing described in this notice. For privacy questions, a rights request, a complaint, or controller-identification details needed for a formal request, email contact@timediff.fyi. You can also use the Contact page.
timediff.fyi does not offer user accounts and the application does not include a separate analytics SDK. We do not use calculator inputs to create a personal profile or make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
On your device
Browser storage and shareable URLs
The site uses local storage to remember choices across visits. Local-storage values normally stay on your device and do not expire on their own. You can remove them with the controls described below or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
| Key | Purpose | Duration and control |
|---|
timediff-theme | Remembers the light or dark appearance selected in the header. | Until you change it or clear site data. |
timediff-big-cities-v1 | Remembers up to ten city clocks on the Big page. | Until you choose Clear or clear site data. |
timediff-big-colors-v1 | Remembers the custom Big clock palette. | Until you choose Reset colors or clear site data. |
Some tools put selected city IDs, theme, colors, or a reference moment in the address bar so a result can be bookmarked or shared. A URL you request can be received by the hosting infrastructure, and anyone you send it to can read the settings in it. Do not put personal or confidential information in a shareable URL.
Delivering and protecting the site
Technical requests and security logs
When your browser requests a page or API result, the hosting and security infrastructure processes information needed to answer it. This can include an IP address, requested URL, date and time, user-agent or device information, response status, and security signals. The purposes are to deliver the service, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and diagnose faults.
Limited logs may be retained for the provider's operational and security periods, or longer when an incident or legal requirement makes that necessary. We do not use those logs for an advertising profile. Service providers may process data in other countries under the safeguards in their applicable terms. Contact us if you need the current provider and safeguard details for a formal request.
When you contact us
Email messages
If you email us, we process your email address, message, attachments, and correspondence metadata to answer, provide support, handle a privacy request or complaint, and keep a reasonable record of the outcome. Correspondence is kept while the request is open and afterward only as long as reasonably needed for support history, security, legal obligations, or claims.
Do not send sensitive information that is not needed for your request. Email infrastructure may process messages in other countries under its own contractual and legal safeguards.
Advertising and consent
Google AdSense, cookies, and similar technologies
At the time of this notice, timediff.fyi uses an AdSense account ownership tag but does not load AdSense ad-serving code. The application can load that code only after advertising publisher, slot, and consent-readiness settings have been configured. On an ad-enabled page, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, browser or device information, identifiers, and ad impression or interaction data to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect the advertising service.
Google and its partners may use advertising cookies based on visits to timediff.fyi and other sites. Where the relevant choice is given, that can include personalized advertising; non-personalized advertising can still use limited data for functions such as frequency control, aggregated measurement, and fraud prevention. Learn how Google uses information from partner sites, read the Google Privacy Policy, or manage personalization in My Ad Center.
Before non-essential advertising storage is enabled where consent is required, including for relevant visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, timediff.fyi will use a Google-certified consent management platform. The consent message will allow eligible visitors to accept, reject, or manage advertising choices before those technologies load, and will provide a way to revisit the choice.
Your choices and rights
Access, correction, deletion, objection, and consent
Depending on the law that applies and the processing involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive personal data, and to object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting processing already carried out. Email contact@timediff.fyi; we may need to verify that a request belongs to you.
Preferences stored only in your browser normally cannot be found or removed by us because they are not tied to an account. Use Clear or Reset colors on the Big page, change the theme, or clear timediff.fyi site data in your browser. You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live or work, or where you believe a breach occurred.
